What is a "turnkey"
project?
Turnkey projects are
those in which we undertake the whole of the project, rather
than simply the provision of the portable buildings.
When providing a turnkey project PK Accommodation will not only provide a cheap portable building or an accommodation to suit your requirements, but can also provide a host of cheap/affordable ancillary services which can include some, or all of the following:
Planning Applications
& Building Regulation Approval
We will advise you on what applications are required for your
project and provide you with a service to complete these applications
if required.
Transport
to Site & Installation
We normally transport portable accommodation to site and
install on site. The cost for transport & installation of the portable building are clearly highlighted to the client on our quotations. Installation
can be as simple as a hi-ab lorry mounted crane to off-load
cabins or anti-vandal units or can incorporate the installation
of multi-storey modular buildings using large cranes to reach
the site.
Groundworks
A common ancillary service we provide is any site preparation that is required prior to installation of the portable building.This
service is normally broken down into the following elements:
- Site clearance - to prepare the area of land for foundations
& installation of the building, this may include forming
a road into site and removal of spoil.
- Installation of foundations for the portable building to suit local
ground conditions.
- The installation of services such as mains water, foul
drainage, surface water drainage, electricity, telephones.
Obviously, the complexity of these operations is specific
to each project but if it suits you we welcome their inclusion
in our scope of works.
Access
Systems
A variety of access systems are provided. They vary in complexity
from a basic single set of steps to a cabin to multi-storey
steel staircases. Other access systems include steps &
ramps to the building all of which can be fully DDA compliant
and are designed to suit your specific site requirements.
Furniture,
Fixtures & Fittings
We really can provide everything inside the portable building so all
you need to do is unlock the door and carry on working!
We are here to make the best use of your space, encouraging
a better working or learning environment. As well as creating
ease and comfort, for as long as necessary.
The range of furniture we can offer includes;

Air
Conditioning
Air conditioning within our portable buildings is a cost-effective
and a high quality solution. We can install any bespoke system,
provide units which are cooling or cooling and heating, to
generate instant comfort, on a long term basis. The systems
are either wall or ceiling mounted internally, with an external
condenser. There are also remote controls, which enable users
to alter the temperatures, timing and speed.
Catering
Equipment
Our industrial kitchen areas can be fitted out with catering
equipment to suit the specific requirements of the site and
the internal layout of the building. Generally, all stainless
steel fittings are provided and can be fully installed including
electrical, water & drainage connections.
Mains
Connections
We can provide all necessary connections to get your building
up & running they include:
- Electrical connections
This can be simply one connection to a mains distribution
board from an existing supply or our scope of works could
extend to arranging a new supply.
- Mains water connections
Again, this can be from an existing supply or a new supply
if required. Mains drainage connections - both for foul
drainage & surface water drainage.
Office
IT, Data Cabling and Telephone Systems
We can offer the service to install IT, data & telephone
systems. This cabling is generally run in 3 compartment trunking
fitted to the perimeter of the building.
